Installation- CF Ducts

STEP1-CF

Step 1-
Lift the rear of the car. You may need to put a piece of wood under each tire (rear) to be able to get a jack under the car. Make sure you use jack stands once the car is up.

STEP2-CF

Step 2-
Take off the rear tire to expose the wheel well.

STEP3-CF
Step 3-
Take off the screws that hold the wheel well in place. You need to remove the entire wheel well to expose the back of the brake duct.
STEP4-CF
Step 4-
Once the screws are all off, remove the wheel well and put it aside (keep the screws in the same place).

***There is one screw under the car, underneath the panel, that holds the wheel well in in place. Make sure you remove this screw before trying to force the wheel well off.
STEP5-CF
Step 5-
Remove the brake duct tubing and place it aside.
STEP6-CF
Step 6-
There are 4 bolts that hold the brake duct opening in place. Remove the nuts holding them in place. The entire brake duct will now come off. Remove it and place it aside along with the nuts.
STEP6-CF
This is what it looks like...
STEP7-CF
Step 7-
The outer shell of the brake duct is glued in place at a few spots. You can take a thin screw driver and run it along side the seam to remove it. You can also use a blade if you'd like, but  a thin screw driver is much safer.
STEP8-CF
Step 8-
Once the outer shell is off, clean the backing with rubbing alcohol. Bring out your new carbon fiber brake duct shell to take its place. You will start to see what a difference in look this makes.
STEP9-CF
Step 9-
Take the rubber cement that is included with the kit and shake it well. Apply a generous amount of the rubber cement to the brake duct backing and also the carbon fiber shell. Allow it to dry for about 5-30 minutes (depends on the air and humidity) before trying to attach the parts together.

***You want to make sure the rubber cement is sticky before attaching the two pieces.
STEP10-CF
Step 10-
Once the rubber cement is sticky and glue like, attach the carbon fiber outer shell to the backing. Go alongside the shell and press the parts together. Apply some pressure to the areas that touch or almost touch. It is a good idea to reapeat this process every few minutes until you feel the rubber cement is bonding the pieces together.
***Allow about 2 hours to make sure the rubber cement dries properly.
STEP11-CF

Step- 11
Re-install the brake duct opening. Now you can already tell what a difference this makes.

STEP12-CF
Step 12-
Tighten the nuts that hold the brake duct in place.
STEP13-CF
Step 13-
Put the brake duct routing back in place and re-position the wheel well back on. Don't be affraid to use a little force with the wheel well to get it just right. Re-install the screws for the wheel well.
STEP14-CF

Step 14-
Put your wheel back on and enjoy your new look.

***Repeat the process for the other side.

You can also install the carbon fiber ducts by simply using the rubber cement to put them over your existing outer shell. We have installed these both ways and you cannot really see a difference by looking at them. You can do either with great results. Enjoy...
